Year 5/6 had a fantastic afternoon at Alston Observatory as part of their Science unit on the Solar System.

Volcano
Sycamore Class have had a great day learning about how volcanos erupt. We made mini models and our own eruptions using baking soda and vinegar! 
Elm
Reading
Year 5/6 and 1/2 began their reading buddy sessions this morning. This is an opportunity for the younger pupils to read aloud to the older pupils. Year 5/6 also then read a short story to Year 1/2. 
General
Forest School
Year 5/6 thoroughly enjoyed their first Forest School session after school. They were challenged to complete a range of different knots.
